The hero’s journey is a concept that has fascinated artists, writers, sociologists, psychologists, anthropologists, historians and philosophers worldwide since the publication of “The hero of a thousands faces” by James Campbell in 1949. The effect of the theory of the monomyth in art, literature, poetry, and music has been considered a milestone in our understanding of human nature since its appearance.
 
Next September 11th, the internationally acknowledged psychiatrist, musician and author Claudio Naranjo, known as one of the of the three successors named by Fritz Perls, founder of the Gestalt Therapy, and as a developer of the Enneagram of Personality., will present in the Europa Congress Palace of Vitoria Gasteiz, the lecture “The Music as a Journey, (The Hero’s Journey in Music)”, as the opening for the 9th Guided Imagery and Music Pre-conference, with the coordination and participation of Lars Ole Bonde and Patxi del Campo.
 
 The event, that will last the entire weekend, will give the participants the chance to share their own ideas about the view of the composer as a hero that passes through a transformation in an open debate about the subject of the lecture with the author, and then to join GIM experiences in groups and comment their views over the subject. 

Also, in September 12th, Claudio Naranjo will present another lecture, “The personality of the classics”, during which the relationship between many of the greatest composers in history, as Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms, and the personality archetypes found in the Enneagram theory will be analyzed and explained.
 

During his two participations, the Doctor Naranjo will present his visions of music as a mystic travel, worthy of the ancient odysseys, during which its protagonist, as a creator, conquer his main opponent, himself, after overcoming all the obstacles of his own existence.

El viaje del héroe es un concepto que ha fascinado a artistas, escritores, sociólogos, psicólogos, antropólogos, historiadores y filósofos de todo el mundo desde la publicación del libro “El héroe de las mil caras”, por James Campbell en 1949. El efecto de la teoría del monomito en el arte, la literatura, poesía, y música ha sido considerado un hito en la manera de entender la naturaleza humana desde su aparición.
 
El próximo 11 de septiembre, el internacionalmente reconocido psiquiatra, músico y autor Claudio Naranjo, conocido como uno de los tres sucesores nombrados por Fritz Perls, fundador de la Terapia Gestalt, y como uno de los desarrolladores del Eneagrama de Personalidad, presentará en el Palacio de Congresos Europa de Vitoria Gasteiz, la conferencia “La música como viaje (El viaje del héroe en la música)”, como la apertura para la 9ª Pre-conferencia de Música e Imagen Guiada, con la coordinación y participación de Lars Ole Bonde y Patxi del Campo.
 
 El evento, que se extenderá todo el fin de semana, permitirá a los participantes compartir sus propias ideas acerca de la visión del compositor musical como un héroe que pasa a través de una transformación, en un debate abierto sobre el tema de la conferencia con el autor, tras lo cual podrán participar en experiencias GIM en grupos, y comentar sus propias opiniones al respecto.
 
 

Además, el 12 de septiembre, Claudio Naranjo presentará otra conferencia, “La personalidad de los clásicos”, durante la cual la relación entre muchos de los más grandes compositores de la historia, como Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann y Brahms, y los arquetipos de personalidad de la Teoría del Eneagrama será analizada y explicada.
 
 En sus dos participaciones, el Doctor Naranjo presentará sus visiones de la música como un viaje místico, similar a las antiguas epopeyas, en el cual el protagonista, como creador, triunfa sobre su principal adversario, él mismo, al superar de manera plena y exitosa los obstáculos propios de su existencia.
