Mercedes Gysin Capdevila "Art as a curative force in the therapeutic meeting"

ABSTRACT
The author goes through different times in history in which the creative therapies have been used. She starts with primitive art, in which as it happens nowaday the individual and colective creative activity were very related to the emotional state of the person. Capdevila mentions in a special way the creative work developped by patients who lived in a mental hospital after First World War. It culminates with some notes on the concept of art therapy and its development.
