Claudio Naranjo "The first bars of the Fifth Symphony of Beethoven"
ABSTRACT
Continuing with previous reflections on the sonata form, which have appeared published in the previous issues of Music, Art and Process, Claudio Naranjo brings forward some reflections on Beethoven´s Fifth Symphony. He talks about it not just as an accoustic symbol of the inner proccess of human transformation, but as "cosmic music", in other words as a metaphor of the universe. The author explain us that Beethoven´s music is above all microcrosmic, where human nature is exalted to divine level.
