ABSTRACT
As a result of his investigations, the author carries out an exposition of the criteria to determine if music therapy is suitable for the treatment of a groupal or individual client. He points out a series of examples on how to use such indication criteria, and to end the article he offers his opinion on the discussion that on this matter took place in the VIII World Congress of Music Therapy held in Hamburg, in 1996.
