The journal "Música, Arte y Proceso. El arte de expresar, comunicar y crecer" (Music, Art and Process. The art of expression, communication and growth") tries to make known the lots of applications and results of the music and the arts in the development of the human process.

This publication’s aim is to give information about music and the arts as instruments that contribute to the growth and development of the people.

The focus of the journal invites all the community of professionals related to the therapeutic-pedagogic field (Medicine, Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Pedagogy, Teaching, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, etc.) to sensibilize and pay their attention to the contents of the magazine. They will find issues that will be very helpful to contrast concepts, experiences or techniques, when applying to the daily practice.

In the same way, musicians, music therapists, art therapists and professionals that focus their activity in the arts in general will find in “Music, Art and Process” an important documentary reference that will serve to extend their knowledge in the subject.


SECTIONS

Editorial

Each new number of “Music, Art and Process” will offer the reader an article that will be elaborated by the director of the journal, in order to emphasize a special issue or reflex on an aspect that he considers of interest because of its relation with the contents or the ideology of the publication.


Music and Process

This section will be for all the philosophic and methodological contributions that highlight the importance of the music and its contribution to the development of the human process.


Applications and Results

This module will have mostly scientific character, where application techniques in the field of the arts in general and music in particular will be reflected. The results that can be obtained will also appear.


Art and Human Development

In this area the arts in general and their positive effect on the growth and development of the people will be the main characters.


Work and Dialogue

On one hand, each number of the publication will give the possibility to do a journey through the work of a famous artist. On the other hand, an important person in any of the disciplines that appear on the content of the magazine will be the main character of each number in order to give to know his point of view and his profound reflections about the theme of the magazine.


Soundscape

This section will try to contribute with new notes about this area, focused in the sound environment and its relation to the human being.


News

This section will include short news, information about courses, congresses, seminaries, etc. in order to inform the reader about issues that may interest him/her.


Publications

In this space short reviews and commentaries of the upcoming discs and books will be offered. Their selection will be done taking into account the editorial line of the publication.


Agenda

Each number will bring forward events and announcements of interest to contribute to the participation of the reader.
